We take so much for granted. And because we are busy or just not interested to look closer we fail to understand the complexity of the world surrounding us. And this is unfortunate, because learning how to glean complexity in our environment is good for us, first and foremost, because we gain appreciation for it and its creators (and I am not taking of the divine kind!). And the result is that we do not take our environment for granted any longer.
When I saw this short video on how they make glass marbles, I was struck by the thought that many things can be compared to these little balls. And the thought that followed was that the same principle can be applied to people too. But in order to discover the complexity in the things and people in our lives we first need to have curiosity, then be willing to put in the time needed to dig deeper, and lastly, if we deal with people, reciprocate in the openness. So take a moment and give your curiosity free reign and most of all, do not be afraid to put yourself out there – only good stuff will come out of it.
Hope your week is unfolding in a useful and fun way! Until soon,
Cristina
